SALES ENGINEER

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build  and  maintain  strong  relationships  with  existing  clients,  understanding  their  needs,  and providing tailored solutions to achieve the sales target.

  • Plans a weekly itinerary of calls to allocate time effectively and to ensure proper territory coverage by industry, geography and account potential.

  • Tender evaluation, Technical & commercial offer preparation and review prior to issuing to the client, follow-up and revises the proposal as necessary to meet the clients’ needs; 

  • Receives and reviews the clients order ensuring it is in accordance with the proposal and that the client needs are achievable; prepares the Application Quality Plan.

  • Coordinating with various departments to gather necessary information for tendering purposes.

  • Review client recurrent requirements and specifications to ensure compliance.

  • Attends  meetings;  prepares periodical  sales and other  reports  as  directed;  performs  any  other work-related duties as directed by the Chemical Business Manager or his designate.

  • Conducting market research to identify potential clients and competitors.

  • Developing pricing strategies and cost estimates for tender submissions.

  • Negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with clients.

  • Managing  the  administrative  tasks  related  to  tendering,  including  documentation,  filing,  and record-keeping.

  • Collaborating with technical teams to understand project requirements and develop appropriate solutions.

  • Assisting  in  the  preparation  of  technical  proposals  by  providing  necessary  information  on production chemicals.

  • Generates inquiries by visiting established clients, Surveys market potential, identifies potential clients and plans territory coverage to ensure maximum market penetration.

Qualifications:

  • Technical  Skills:  Familiarity  with  production  chemicals,  process  equipment,  and  chemical processes, as  well  as  the  ability  to  perform  tasks  such  as  product/material sampling  and basic maintenance.

  • Understanding the chemistry around the products and services being sold, and being able to help others, such as sales, operations, or customers, understand the relevant chemistry.

  • Understanding of tendering processes, including bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and pricing strategies.

  • Minimum Years of experience: 03-05 Years in Chemical Product sales for upstream and midstream

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Analytical skills to review client requirements and develop suitable solutions.

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tender submissions.

  • Project management skills to handle multiple tenders simultaneously within deadlines.

  • Proficiency in using software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation purposes.

  • Knowledge of legal aspects related to contracts in the oil and gas industry.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Should hold valid driving License.
